Kukuwa’s key to a fulfilling and happy life is moving your body, detoxing your body, and eating well. Kukuwa is a dancer, choreographer and founder of Kukuwa Fitness. She is 62 years old and has been dancing since she was 2 years of age.
About 40 years ago, Kukuwa created her own dance fusion by combining traditional African dance movements with western fitness workouts. What’s so special about African dance is that it entails moving every part of your body – from your head to your feet. Give one of Kukuwa’s dance workout and you will find yourself moving muscles that you didn’t know you had!
In addition to moving your body, Kukuwa emphasizes the importance of detoxifying your body regularly and eating well. Some detoxification practices that Kukuwa has been doing since she was a little girl are eating raw ginger and taking cod-liver oil on a regular basis. To keep her body healthy, Kukuwa also fuels her body with nutritious and organic foods. Her diet consists of about 80% vegetables. Listen in to hear more about Kukuwa’s lifestyle and her tips for you to get healthy today.
